The Pino Insurance Agency was founded in 2000 by John and Marie Pino. Michele is their eldest daughter and has worked for the agency since 2001. Upon her parents' retirement, Michele took ownership of the agency, and she and her sister Jenifer have partnered to commit to the excellent customer service they have provided since joining the agency. Their youngest sister Andrea joined the team in 2018 and has been a valuable asset. Together they pride themselves on the relationships they have with their customers and value the knowledge in insurance they give to all every day.

The Pino Insurance Agency is the sole sponsor of the Rochester Community Schools Excellence in Education Awards. The Excellence in Education program has grown since it first started in 1997, and each year, we have more nominated recipients and more award winners and to date have given back more than $67,000. Per Michele, “It is literally one of my most favorite things to do every year!"

Michele cherishes her working relationship with Oakland University. She is a huge supporter of the Oakland University Athletics, with her continued support of the Oakland University Grizzlies basketball program, swimming, volleyball and much more. She helped sponsor the opening of the Oakland University Ballroom, is the sole sponsor of the AD dinner and OU Poker Walk, a participant of the OU Wellness Fair, and you can always find her on campus at other OU events.

Michele will continue to support her parents' work in recognizing the educational community through her late grandfather, Dr. Lewis N. Pino, with the Lewis N. Pino Scholarship, and the SEHS Leadership Celebration, where she has her own scholarship for special education called the Brady Youngblood Scholarship.

The agency is heavily engaged with area schools, such as Rochester Community Schools, Troy Schools, Chippewa Valley Schools, Utica Community Schools, Romeo Community Schools, Oakland University, Oakland Community College, Rochester College and Macomb Community College. Michele, Jenifer and Andrea grew up in Shelby Township and attended Switzer Elementary, Malow Junior High and Eisenhower High School. They feel a sense of pride giving back to the educators that helped form what their lives are today.
